About

I’m a freelance writer and subeditor who works primarily for The Irish Times in Dublin.

I’ll be posting my articles, ideas, links, anecdotes and photographs here on a regular basis. Along the way, I’ll be dipping into my back catalogue of previous hits, namely articles written over the past few years that might become momentarily relevant once again.

As for the site’s title, Turn at Kopernikus, it was inspired by getting slightly lost in Friedrichshain, Berlin; an appreciation for the great astronomer’s contribution to learning and our understanding of the cosmos; and above all a fondness for the internal rhyme. Thanks to Sarah for the phrase, and for so much else besides.
